What is Bird’s return policy?

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. You may return or exchange any book in its original condition for a refund within 7 days of purchase. After 7 days, we can offer store credit up to 30 days after purchase. Without proof of receipt, a return may be approved at our manager’s discretion for store credit. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

I’m interested in having an event at Bird’s. 

We are thrilled to celebrate authors from all over and host special gatherings for the community. Click here to fill out an event inquiry and we will be in touch.

Keep in mind that our space is intimate and cozy, and the capacity for seated gatherings is 30 people max. Need a larger venue? Let’s brainstorm ways to make that happen. Please note that at this time, we are not able to accommodate author events for self-published titles. 

Can I reserve the café area for my group?

Yes! For $75/hour, you can reserve the café seating area for your group of up to 8 people. Perfect for small book clubs, study or discussion groups, team meetings, game nights and the like. Please email liz@birdsbookstore.com for rental inquires. Don’t forget, Frequent Flyer members can reserve café seats for free!

I want to pitch my book to be sold at Bird’s.

Please fill out this form to submit your work for consideration and we will be in touch if we feel your title is a good fit. We do not accept unsolicited review copies, advance reader copies, or promotional materials. If we would like to review a physical copy, we will reach out directly.. Please note that we are not able to stock self-published titles.

Does Bird’s have a book club?

Yes! Flight Club is Bird’s monthly book club. Hosted by Bird's Bookstore book buyer, Amy Soe, every month we’ll choose a fresh selection spanning romance, mystery, historical fiction, contemporary hits, and exciting new releases.

Meetings are held the last Tuesday, Wednesday, and typically, Thursday of every month. In an effort to keep the meeting optimal for discussion, we cap attendance and require an RSVP to attend. Click here to join!

Does Bird’s offer a Loyalty program? 

Our punch card, the Punch Card-inal (get it?), offers a 16th book free when you buy 15 non-fiction, fiction, or kids books.

How can I purchase a gift card? 

Please visit us in-store to purchase a physical gift card. We don’t currently offer e-gift cards.

What do you serve in the café? 

We’re very proud of our café partners, many of them local! Our beans are from Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters, and delicious dairy milk from local farm Mill-King. We serve pastries from the beloved McKinney bakery, Bresnan Bread and Pastry, and gluten-free desserts from Unrefined Bakery. All syrups are made in-house.

Our tea partners are top of their class! rocky’s matcha and loose-leaf tea from Harney and Sons.

The café is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10-4 and Sundays from 12-5.
